Hi everyone, I'm Jessica I live in a small town in Oregon with my husband Kyle, daughter Hannah and our four dogs, Lady, Piper, Sage and Emma. Kyle and I met in High School and have been together ever since, we live our lives; the best way we know how. We have had to learn alot from trial and error. Granted we have gotten some help from our families and friends but most were self-taught out of pure stubborness. We have learned to live within our means; since my husband provides our only income. I help with and what I can being full time college student and part time photographer (taking family and senior portraits). I love reconnecting with the outdoors and exploring new places. Oregon has so much history, one can't help but finding historical and fascinating landmarks.
Living out in the rural community has given me the opportunity to learn some things about myself and life. We live on a tight budget so planning ahead is very important, cause running to the local market may cost one $4 to $16 dollars in full, where to us it will cost $50 dollars or more a trip from the fuel in our cars and groceries. So I have learned how to cook, clean, and shop on a budget. This comes with it own set of challenges because not only do I have to have enough in the cupboard to last two to three months in those rare cases were we get snowed in or don't get the opporunity to come into town.
I love crafting and doing things with my hands, and I have created several things and a few project. I find it useful to have an organized home. I have fallen in love with being green, and recycling. I know how important it is to use green products for our earth and to our bodies. As well as eating fresh organic food, both are very important to me and teaching my daughter that living a green life is better for all of us. By making it your something on your own and using recycled material you can save money, and have something that is unique.
So in 2013, I have decided take what I know to help others in this hard time, as well as learn from others....... much like everyone else I am setting my goals for this upcoming year, so that I can become a better person. So I started to think about what I would do with a new start. I wonder what I will do with myself, am I going to graduate from college? Am I going to make it through my first year as a new mom?
So many questions, but only time will tell. My goals for the year are:
Enjoy every day like it is my last,
Smile more,
Laugh often,
Spend more time doing what I love,
This year is going to be different because, I want my life to be filled with love, happiness, and success. I wish you all good luck with all of your goals, and hope that this year is better than the past years!!
